Snow drift is a geometry problem, not a weather problem

Most snow-related roof collapses occur in structures where the ground snow load was unremarkable. What concentrates the load is the shape of the roof, and drift provisions are frequently misapplied.

A high-strength bolted joint depends on the clamping force in the bolt, not the torque used to install it. The two are related by friction, which is why installation method and inspection records matter.

Throw-distance analysis produces a defensible speed range, not a number. The trajectory family, the friction path and the inferred impact point each move the answer, and each has to be stated.
